*Full disclaimer: You will need to put in effort, eat healthier overall and exercise in a gym with proper strength training. This requires hard work and a lifestyle change.
With Our Process, You Will
Full disclaimer: All of my clients worked really hard to get results. Every person is different. Getting results in fitness requires hard work, dedication, lifestyle changes and is dependant upon your starting position. If you don't do the work, then you won't get results and probably shouldn't apply. We only work with women who understand the importance of hard work and mentorship. Sometimes we do get clients who don't get results and it's because they don't put in the work. 80% of our clients get results.
Here's How We Can Help You
Step 1: Developing Your Unstoppable Mindset To Keep Yourself Moving Forward
Step 2: Your Easy To Follow Mouth Watering, Enjoyable Meal Plan
We create a protocol designed around your lifestyle that makes working out and eating healthier fun. When you can do this, we then show you how you can incoporate your favourite treats without sacrifycing results.
When you can stick to something that you actually like and that is healthy, this is how you get results. You'll have access to a tonne of resources for further support. We got you covered :)
You don't have to count calories, but you need to know how it works so you can pre-track food.
Step 3: Get Super Strong, Fit & Toned Like Wonder Woman
We're going to get you very strong in the gym with our lifestyle workouts (don't worry you won't turn into a dude). This way when we do lose weight, it's fat mass not muscle mass.
Allowing you to reveal your natural sexy shape. No training 5-6 times per week, no HIIT, no excessive cardio. Strong women are healthy & happy. You will be in the gym no more than 3 times per week for an hour.
Unfortunately starving yourself and doing excessive cardio is the fastest way to fall off track... As you're losing muscle, lowering your overall energy expenditure and it sucks generally.
Step 4: Maintain & Succeed For Life
Lifestyle optimisation. We'll teach you how to make this a part of your routine for the rest of your life.
We want to teach you everything you need to know so you can do this by yourself. Long term results come from long term habits & a good routine.
Step 5: Focusing On Women's Physiology
A lot of trainers, especially males, don't take into account women's physiology.
With everything we do, we want you to get results, make it part of your lifestyle but with a heavy focus on women's physiology.
We'll teach you everything you need to know to stay healthy long term. Arming you with more knowledge than personal trainers.
4 Major Problems With Doing Things The 'Old Way'
PROBLEM 1: Relying on Face-To-Face Personal Trainers
If you’re always wondering why even after ‘eating clean’ and hitting the gym you’re not seeing changes in the mirror - this could be your answer.
The issue with relying on face to face personal trainers to ‘get you in shape for your wedding’, is that you’re doing just that. You’re only going to the gym when it’s scheduled or following an exercise when it’s shown to you. If your mum for example, asks you how to do an exercise, more than likely it’ll slip your mind because you’ve only been shown how to do it, which doesn’t help build your confidence and independence in the gym.
Having worked as a face to face personal trainer for over 6 years now, I noticed a trend that my clients would only be coming in to see me for their sessions and when I was unable to make a session, it turns out they either skipped an exercise because they couldn't remember how to do it, or they never got round to going to the gym because it wasn’t seen as an ‘appointment with Devina’.
I get it, brides lead busy lives, but in order to achieve a healthy, fit, strong body and lifestyle, it requires work to build up momentum. If you’re only going to gym sessions when it’s convenient and scheduled in with your pt, it’s going to be hard to build up consistency and see progress.
You’ve been led to believe that the only way to get results is to cut every food you love out, to go to the gym every day and sometimes twice a day for cardio and weights, but what happens in between when life gets busy?
It can be so easy to rely on someone to do the heavy lifting for you (no pun intended) with figuring out your workout plans etc., and that’s fine to start off with when you’re trying to learn, but that in-person personal trainer isn’t going to empower you with the knowledge, tools and skills you need to keep up with this healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life.
If you’re relying on them to a) show you what to do at the gym b) keep you on track c) hand-hold you in the weight’s section, it’s going to make the process of learning how to be independent and start the next chapter of your life on the right foot a lot harder, right?
These trainers are more than likely not going to hold you accountable outside of your sessions because they’ve got other clients to look after as well. And, not to mention, if you’re unsure about something, you’re going to have to wait until the next session to ask them, and by then you may have forgotten completely about your concern.
Looking back, during my own personal training qualification, I was only really taught the bare minimum. Everything I’ve put into practice with my clients has been through my own trial and errors and learning from my 2 strength coaches and nutritionist. I learnt more from them than I ever did whilst I was training for my qualification, and that’s saying something…
Since then, I’ve been helping my brides learn the real truths of what it takes to get in good shape for their big day, but also understand the reason why we do what we do.
In order to get stronger in the gym, we need to ditch the cardio; which includes hiit, bootcamps, tabata, legs bums and tums classes, spin classes, you get the jist. And start introducing the most underrated added form of cardio - walking, which is great for movement.
But, in order for us to build sexy definition and reduce tummy fat, we’ve got to be following a plan where our nutrition compliments our strength based workouts - which includes hitting the big boy section and challenging our bodies to push boundaries.
It can be difficult though, as there aren’t many female pts, I guarantee you the most common thing you’ll hear when you’re feeling like you’ve got cravings or low levels of energy, ‘it’s ok, just push harder!’, or maybe ‘hang in there, you just need to keep going’.
There may be a fair few amount of male personal trainers who understand female physiology, but without understanding the basics of the menstrual cycle, it can be hard to work with it, rather than against it and know when to challenge you and when to focus on other components which can help improve your overall health.
[The 3 biggest things that are going to help you step into this next chapter of your life feeling fit, healthy and strong are 1) a specific plan for you, your goals and your lifestyle 2) a step-by-step breakdown of how to achieve it, so you can understand it 3) accountability.]
PROBLEM 2: Relying on Mass Market Online Fitness Courses
If you’re always wondering why you find yourself losing motivation to follow through with working out, this is the reason why.
The above alone will have a huge impact on your ability to stay the course of a fitness program.
Let’s break down for a second…
How can the creators of a workout gauge the level of fitness you have if they’ve never met you in their life, they have no idea if you have any injuries, what fitness level you’re at, let alone what goal you want to achieve.
The thing is - if the program is either
Too easy - you may find it boring and give up, losing complete interest in showing up and staying the course.
Too hard - it can be difficult to keep up, resulting in losing interest and giving up, thinking that you’re not worthy or fit enough, which is so far from the truth.
Consider this, which bride do you feel will be the most successful at the gym?
Bride 1 - who has no idea what to do at the gym, but gets the most popular online workout plan because they see someone else doing it and getting good results, who may not even have the amount of responsibilities as an engaged bride, trying to juggle everything from finding a place to live to spending time with her own family before she leaves her child home.
Bride 2 - who has a structured plan, tailored to their lifestyle, goals and fitness levels. Adjusting their workouts to suit their own busy, knowing what to do when life gets busy because her plan is so flexible and adaptable.
Which bride do you feel will enter the gym with confidence, knowing that they’ve got the knowledge they need to prepare them to not only know where to go at the gym as they have a structured plan, but also know how to have the right technique and form, so that they can avoid any major injuries in the lead up to their big day.
There are a tonne of online coaches out there who are changing the lives of others and helping educate the population with the truth.
And even if you leave this page equipped with these red flags, I hope it helps you make the right decisions on your own health and fitness journey.
Red flag 1: You’ve been put on a generic ‘1200 calorie meal plan’ that the rest of the other online clients go on and haven’t been able to adjust it according to your lifestyle. If you’ve been put on a just a low calorie diet that leaves you feeling tired, snappy and hungry all the time, this is NOT a good indicator because we want to of course be feeling full, which has implications on your productivity levels, if for example you’re hungry all the time you could end up losing concentration at work.
Red flag 2: You’re not being challenged during your workouts. This of course, as we’ve explored already will lead to a loss in interest and therefore eventually giving up on your health and fitness goals. In order to be successful in toning up and dropping body fat, we have to start implementing what’s called ‘progressive overload’ with our workouts. In other words, we need to increase the weight, volume and intensity of our workouts week by week to ensure that we’re pushing ourselves in the right direction. If you’re being put on a treadmill for half of your workout, you’re essentially using up energy that is better used in a weight based workout. And on top of that, if you’ve either been told you need to change your workout every 3-4 weeks to ‘confuse’ the muscles or the complete opposite you need to stay on your weight each week in the gym, it’s time to consider a better approach.
Red flag 3: Poor form exercises.
Here’s how you can look out for this -
When your shoulders are flaring out on shoulder press
When you’re not set up properly on your bench press i.e. your shoulders aren’t ‘screwed’ in to the bench and your ‘bouncing’ the dumbbells/ barbell on your chest and not fully engaging your muscles during the workout
When you’re doing half squats and adding weights on - this can lead to an injury.
Changing the exercises each week - which of course is not going to help when you’re learning how to do the exercise properly.
I’m pretty passionate about spreading the message of how to lift properly, firstly because we obviously don’t want to get hurt. But, secondly I once had a personal trainer who showed me how to squat, and looking back I thought I nailed the form and kept adding on weight - it wasn’t until I developed muscle imbalance that I realised I had been taught wrong.
This is why it’s SO important to learn the basics of how to do the exercises before stacking up the weights. With our process, you’ll be shown how to perform the exercises correctly and stay injury-free with your very own strength coach and understand why we use the process that we do before increasing the weight.
PROBLEM 3: Copying YouTube/Instagram Influencer Workouts
Which approach do you think will empower you with the knowledge to understand the reason as to why you do exercises a certain way, equip you with the tools and knowledge so that you can avoid falling off track in the future, rather than just in the lead up to your big day and actually keep you going, without relying on motivation to get you through;
Option 1: Following along with a generic workout plan that’s been made for the masses which doesn’t even cover the fundamentals of women’s weight loss.
Option 2: Empowering you to create your own life on your terms through working with a coach that understands the situation you’re going through right now. Helping you navigate through wedding planning and build the body of your dreams within your own timings. Giving you the confidence to enter that weight’s section, knowing that you’re doing everything that you can to get fit, strong and healthy, because you know the plan you’re doing is catered for building strength and dropping body fat.
Pretty obvious, right?
The issue that nobody really talks about with YouTube videos is that it only covers the tip of the iceberg when it comes to leading a healthy lifestyle that you enjoy and maintain. The reality is, through watching and following along with YouTube workouts, nobody is going to hold you accountable to getting your workout in, especially when you’ve got a busy week ahead full of vendor meetings, so it can be very easy to say it’s ok to skip a workout, which could turn into more than one…
And YouTube is a great place to find inspiration for recipes, but that’s putting a band-aid on the situation at hand.
In our process, we have a heavy emphasis on Women’s Physiology and the relation that it may have on your adherence to a ‘diet’ or training. And on top of that we break down nutrition to an easy level, so that it’s easily integratable into your busy bride lives.
PROBLEM 4: Following The Latest Trends
It’s become more and more common now to tag the word ‘fit’ on the end of an instagram handle and that person has immediately become the go-to for fitness advice.
People often fail to realise that the fitness influencer they’re following is not a qualified personal trainer, but turn to them for fitness advice because they ‘look good’. We all know very well that a fair amount of people use Instagram as a way of showcasing the best parts of their lives, which is of course worth celebrating, but nobody sees the behind the scenes.
Nobody shows you the amount of steroids that influencers go on before hitting a bikini competition or doing a shoot. And that’s not even the whole of it - if we’re constantly comparing our lives, bodies and looks to those that we see on social media, it’s setting unrealistic expectations and goals.
If you’re still reading this, chances are you’re wanting to create a healthy lifestyle that’s not only going to get you in good shape for your wedding, but help you keep the results beyond that.
The influencers you see have the job of looking a certain way at all times to
Sell a lifestyle
And the sad thing is, the majority of the fitness industry is trying to do the same thing. It’s not suited for a busy bride who has a busy lifestyle. The biggest thing they fail to mention, is that in order to build consistency and create a lifestyle on your terms, it’s got to be adaptable to your lifestyle. Which of course means teaching you beyond the latest trends.
With our proven step by step process, we not only help you understand the right training techniques to help you get strong and the reason why, as well as how to adjust your nutrition to enhance your health both internally and externally, but also help you adjust and adapt to what life can throw at you, such as pre-wedding events, cake tasting etc.
Introducing The 'New Way'
Here's What's Involved In The Shredd For The Wed Method
Why You Should Listen To Me
Having to postpone my wedding, replan it all, completely rethink my business model as a result of Covid, finding a place to live and juggling everything else in between.
I get the pressures of what it's like when you want your big day to go so perfectly, yet you have to sort out so many things at once and your health can easily fall into the background and be forgotten about.
I know what it's like when you want to be able to make healthy changes, but you literally have no idea where to start.
That was me not too long ago.
I thought I was doing all the right things when it came to the gym and 'clean eating'.
I saw myself in my engagement pictures and realised something needed to change, quick.
I then started to dig deeper and realised it wasn't right that I was feeling that hungry and snappy all the time, that fatigued and tired too. I hired a nutritionist to help me understand how I could avoid falling off track on weekends and I learnt such valuable information that I now share with my brides. I also work with 2 strength coaches that have taught me more than I ever thought was possible when it comes to getting more 'bang for my buck' during my training sessions.
I had a conversation with my mum before getting married and it sank in.
This is such a pivotal moment of our lives where we're
1) moving to another city, maybe... 2) joining another family... 3) building a life together with your soulmate 4) potentially having a family in the future.
I wanted to make sure that I was doing the best I could to optimise my health and put me in a good position to get fit, strong and healthy - not just for my big day, but for the rest of my life.
It's no secret that when you start looking after your body, your body looks after you.
Why not use this pivotal moment of change as an opportunity to improve your health and fitness and start the next chapter of your life on the best foot.
Still Got Some Questions? No Problem.
This coaching has been created, so that you can give up the guilt when eating something 'naughty' and help educate you around how to enjoy all the foods you love & still stay on track WITHOUT going on a restricitive diet.
Having recently got married myself, I understand the importance of balance when it comes to planning, spending time with your family, future family, fiancé and staying on track with your health & fitness goals.
Consider this program as a way of showing you how to seemlessly integrate everything you'll be learning in to the background. Completely effortlessly over time, so that it all starts to become second nature for you!
Our courses/programs are built for the bride from the ground up.
We would need to evaluate your situation to see if we can help before making an offer, as our programs are accessed via invitation-only.
This is quite different to what you may have seen or heard of before, because here, we EDUCATE you to create habits that are only going to help & serve you for the rest of your life.
With starting a new chapter of your life, with your fiancé and new family, why not start creating long lasting changes that are only going to help you stay focused, on track, and keep seeing the changes you want to see, but more importantly be able to keep them for more than just 8 weeks.
Unlike most in person PTs, we look at helping you create unshakeable confidence, solid habits and show you how to do all the above, so you're not leaving each PT session feeling like you're unable to show your partner what you've done.
You don't have to have an in person PT to get you the results. You're only paying for 1 hour a week with them and that's it.
With this coaching, you're not only learning how to eventually carry out all the exercises effectively and safely by yourself, but you're also
- gaining knowledge on how to build long lasting habits that'll boost your confidence and enhance your lifestyle,
- learning how to make mindful nutritional choices that don't leave you deprived of any foods you love
- having someone actually check in with what you're doing, to make sure you're on the right track, but also adjust along the way, rather than wait until your next PT session
- and of course learning so much more!
I want you to be able to enjoy your time during this coaching program and not feel like any of it is a chore, that of course means you're still able to enjoy yourself whilst you're making beautiful memories.
After all, you don't want to constantly thinking about what to eat, or what to train, and whether what you're doing is even working in the first place, right?
About The Founder, Devina Parmar
Hi my name is Devina Parmar. With two over 6 years in the Fitness Industry now (helping over 100s of women along the way) - I am very confident in my ability to make a powerful and positive difference up level and enhance your confidence and of course life.
The pressure put on brides to look a certain way on their big day is immense... I'm not here to say you need to look a certain way for your wedding day at all, I'm here to help enhance your lifestyle in such a way that the rewards will be ever-growing.
Since entering the wedding space for planning my own wedding, I noticed so many brides commenting in forums and some of the things I saw opened my eyes to a huge problem...
I'd see brides asking things like;
'I have my wedding round the corner, what's the quickest way to lose weight.' Or even, 'I have just lost all my motivation to workout, I need a quick fix...'. And some of the answers I saw were quite frightening.
We've only got to turn to social media or Google to find answers, but we can easily fall in to the black hole.
I see it daily, and I would feel extremely stressed out and overwhelmed too. I get it.
So, my mission is to help spread the message that brides don't need to restrict themselves silly or spend all their time at the gym to see changes in the mirror, using my unique 5 step process called 'The Shredd for the Wed Method'.
What makes Shredd for the Wed superior to any face-to-face option is that we cover the key successful components of achieving the body of your dreams (and keeping it too).
We offer support, guidance and direction with your very own strength coach, we’re an online portal, we offer more points of contact for support and we help brides create better habits & routine, so that they can use all the skills and knowledge they've learnt throughout the process for the rest of their lives.
